Russell Dickerson was born in Union City, a small city in Tennessee, in 1987. He loved music from a very young age and learned the piano by his mother, while his father was a choir director. After he finished his studies, he made a contract with an L.A. talent agency and recorded his first EP which came out at the beginning of 2011, under the name “Die to Live Again”. His first single was the song “That’s My Girl” and he followed later David Nail on his tour. He was noticed with 2012’s single named “Green Light” which gained popularity in satellite radio.
In 2015 Dickerson toured next to Canaan Smith, while the release of “Yours” took Dickerson’s career off and it was part of his second synonymous EP. It came out in January of 2016 and peaked at no. 14 on the country charts in the USA (no. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100). Dickerson continued the live appearances with artists such as Thomas Rhett and Billy Currington. “Yours” topped the Country Airplay Chart and was followed by the album with the same name that came out in October of 2017. It reached the fifth position on the US country charts and contained also the hit “Blue Tacoma” which also entered at no. 1 on the Country Airplay Chart, as well as an acoustic version of “Yours”.
Dickerson entered at “Grand Ole Opry” in the summer of 2016 and he is a country artist whose songs have million views and streams in video and audio websites respectively. His most recent live performances were in Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker’s “Summer Plays On Tour” in 2018.
