Florida Georgia Line consists of Brian Kelley, from Ormond Beach, Florida and Tyler Hubbard, from Monroe, Georgia, who met each other in 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee, while they were studying at Belmont University. They started working in various jobs, while at the same time, they were performing live in clubs. In 2010, they released the EP "Anything Like Me" in digital form and after they met Nickelback's producer, their second one, named "It's Just What We Do", came out.
The duo's first album, was "Here's to the Good Times", that came out in December of 2012 and became the sixth album in sales, for the year 2013. It contained the hit "Cruise", which stayed almost 6 months in the top of the country chart. Four more singles reached no. 1 at the same chart and in the summer of 2013, the album also topped the charts, remaining there for 2.5 months. One year later, the group took part in Luke Bryan's tour.
The next album, "Anything Goes", came out in October of 2014, including 5 successful singles, with the hit "Dirt", reaching the first place. Almost two years later, "Cruise" became ten times Platinum and the band gained the "Digital Diamond Award" (they are the only country band/artist to achieve this). "Dig Your Roots", came out in 2016 and contained three collaborations, with Ziggy Marley, Tim McGraw and Backstreet Boys. It is their first album that entered a country's top ten in the album charts (Australia - no. 7).
Both Florida Georgia Line members have married, while Hubbard has a daughter. In February of 2019, the duo's next album came out, under the name "Can't Say I Ain't Country", with the song " Meant to Be" becoming a success.
